Meeting Terry Reid changed my life for ever

I wrote “Terry” for my friend and idol, Terry Reid. I was lucky enough to get to know Terry well, to bring him to Paris in 2009 to record with him, then to perform on stage in London with him, and finally to become his friend over the years.

This song, “Terry,” was written and recorded live in Paris before his health rapidly deteriorated in the summer of 2025. I then had time to send it to him; it was essential to me that he heard it, that he knew how much I loved him. His wife Annette replied: “We fell in love with this song, you made us cry. Terry wants to work with you again when he’s better.” Unfortunately, a few weeks later, Terry Reid passed away. I still haven't gotten over it, I probably never will.

A couple of days before the release (March 20th, 2026), I invited Terry Reid's musicians, greatest fans and loved ones for a private listening party in London to celebrate his memory. I hope that this song, “Terry,” will serve as a reminder to the world of Terry Reid’s body of work.

“Terry” is eligible in these 4 categories: Americana Performance of the Year, American Roots Song of the Year, American Roots Performance of the Year, and Music Video of the Year (video filmed live in the studio by the French female director Elodie Letaeron).
I'm doing this for the musicians, artists and friends who have worked with me on this project, but above all, for Terry Reid, whom I can never thank enough for all he has given me.

I love you, Terry.
